How We Build Your Website – Not the Tempo Skyscraper Way

When it comes to building a successful website, most businesses somewhat have an idea of what they want the site to achieve, and will bring a wish list or an actual site map to our initial consultation meeting.

After the meeting, our team goes through a creative brainstorming session to evaluate our client’s wish list and determine the best way to communicate to their audience through designcopywritingweb design and developmentmarketing campaign and more. If needed, we conduct lengthy research and experiment to confirm that our proposed solution is viable, innovative and aligns with the client’s goals (some like to call it “best practices”). We take this detailed approach to our client’s projects because we know that planning and evaluation is key to delivering a successful project – doing a project for the sake of just rolling out another client request is not how we operate at Matcha Design.

Costly Mistake

I came across an article about a costly mistake from a builder in Spain. The beautifully located “Tempo” skyscraper was designed as a pair of 20-story residential towers; however, the ambitious owner wanted the fame of owning the tallest skyscraper in the city, so he ordered the builder to upgrade it to a 47-story tower. Unfortunately, the owner discovered the floor plan forgot to include any room for the elevators in the upgraded portion; making the ill-planned building an extreme pain for anyone moving into an apartment on floors 21 and higher. This is what could happen if someone doesn’t think carefully and evaluate multiple solutions before executing a client’s wish list. In the case of the Tempo Tower, it became the laughing stalk of the industry, not counting the amount of financial losses it incurred.

We Understand

At Matcha Design, we understand finding the right marketing partner is no easy task, especially with so many different firms to choose from. Check carefully, ask around to see if they have a good track record of follow through on client project goals, regardless of the project size or the client’s background. A truly reputable design firm will treat each client and project with integrity to make sure the incident like the “Tempo skyscraper” doesn’t happen to you.
