The winners of The 2010 Davey Awards have been announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts today.
With over 4,000 entries from across the US and around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies, and companies worldwide. One of those firms, Matcha Design, has won an impressive six separate awards.
“I’m very pleased to receive this recognition from our peers in the industry,” said Creative Director and President of Matcha Design, Chris Lo. “It gives me the confidence to continue to do what I’m passionate about. I want to thank our clients for providing us the opportunity to work with them.”
Matcha Design was awarded a Gold Award for the identity design of Henderson Oilfield Products. They also won Silver Awards for EnergyLegalCounsel.com website design, Doyles “30 Years” print ad design, DTAGS “We Can Be There” print ad design, SHBC Compassion campaign poster design, and St. Gregory’s University brochure design. This is the second year in a row that Matcha Design has received recognition from the Davey Awards.

The Davey Awards may be for smaller organizations, but the judges have big reputations. The Davey is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Condè Nast, Michael Kors Inc., Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Microsoft, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria’s Secret, Howcast, and many more.
