Matcha Design’s custom animation work was featured at this week’s OKC Thunder NBA game against the Denver Nuggets, promoting MidFirst’s mobile banking app. The six separate LED digital signage animations included three, outdoor boards for Chesapeake Energy Arena, center hung and upper rings, and concourse wedges.
Our team was given a plain poster design with only text and phone images, as the basis of the design. We knew this concept would not work for stadium animations because it was too boring and would incorrectly. Our design needed energy to break through the stadium lights and attract game participants.
“The challenge with this project was adding excitement to the advertising message, while keeping to our short time frame,” said Chris Lo, Matcha Design Creative Director. “We only had one shot to get the design right because the project deadline did not allow for changes. We understood what the client needed and we delivered in two working days.”
